You can also take Volvo buses from Delhi which take around 6 hours to reach Haridwar or Dehradun. Trains also are available on a day to day to Haridwar.

Dehradun/ Haridwar to Govind Ghat by road

There are different modes of transport from Dehradun or Haridwar like either taking an area shared taxi/public buses or private taxis to the beginning point of the trek which is Govind Ghat which is approximately 290 kilometres. The journey from Haridwar or Dehradun has often wiped out personal vehicles or Shared cabs and public buses which are available within the morning at 6 am from Dehradun and Haridwar railroad station.

The best month to try to go to the Valley of Flowers trek?

The best time to go to this place is going to be during monsoons, ranging from July to September. During this season, the weather within the high altitude is going to be pleasant with drizzles which makes it wonderful for trekking. The temperature during the daytime is going to be 15- 30 degrees Celsius and within the night, it drops to 7-10 degrees Celsius. you’ll need to carry a raincoat. In July, you’ll encounter more lush green meadows, not many flowers yet, but the greenery around and dewdrops on the leaves will cause you to awe at the sweetness. During the primary 15 days of August, you will see an enormous number of various flowers fully bloomed which will appear as if a paradise hidden within the Himalayas. Helicopter and pony services

You will get a helicopter service from Govind Ghat to Ghangaria. The drop point is at Ghangaria, and you’ll trek for about 4 km to succeed in the Valley of Flowers.

Permit and entry fees

Permit: it’s a World Heritage Site, so one has got to register the name within the register. 

Fees: The fee for Indian citizens is INR 150, and for foreign nationals, INR 650. Both are valid for 3 days.

Extra days: If you’re unable to finish the visit in 3 days, then for Indian Citizens, additional charges of INR 50 and foreign nationals INR 250, are going to be applicable.

Opening and shutting time for visitors

Entry to Valley of Flowers is from 7 am a day. The last entry is till 2 pm.

All visitors got to exit the park by 5 pm. Ideally, it requires you to start trekking back to the camp by 1 pm and touch the bottom safely by 5 pm.
